It may now be September but we can definitely hold onto summer thoughts (or maybe wishes) for sunshine and warmth, can’t we? A girl can dream.

For those days when the weather is warm enough for a cooling cup of iced tea, this is another great ‘recipe’ for a refreshing tipple. Similar to my Radiance Iced Tea this couldn’t be simpler to make, hence why I have put the word ‘recipe’ in inverted commas. It’s simply boiling up some water, pouring it over these gorgeous tea pyramids from Aduna with some added slices of fresh ginger for even more zing and allowing the infusion to cool down. I like to make it up in the morning and it’s ready to enjoy by the afternoon. I love adding fresh ginger to everything at the moment and in this recipe it really allows the ginger to shine through.

These Vitality Lemon Ginger and Baobab tea pyramids are  really something special. They are packed with much more flavour than the average lemon and ginger tea bag and taste more natural, as if you were sipping on fresh lemon and ginger juice. The added bonus of baobab adds a real zing plus some great health benefits. Known as the Tree of Life, baobab is a superfruit that is bursting with vibrancy and adds a real citrussy hit to this cup of tea. Even better? It is caffeine free so you can enjoy this Vitality Lemon Ginger and Baobab Iced Tea any time of the day.

Vitality Lemon Ginger and Baobab Iced Tea
Makes 1 litre

Ingredients:
2 x Vitality Lemon Ginger and Baobab tea pyramids
1 litre just boiled kettle water (or half and half cool water)
1-inch piece ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
To serve: ice cubes, fresh mint leaves, fresh lemon slices

Method:

  1. Pour the water over the tea pyramids and add the ginger slices. Stir, cover and the leave to cool for a few hours. You can place the Ice Tea in the fridge to speed up the cooling process. If you’ve used just boiled water, you can remove the twa pyramids after 10 minutes, or leave them in.
  2. To serve, pour into glasses with ice, making sure each glass has a few ginger slices. Serve with lemon slices and fresh mint.
