Hi, I’m Amy, the founder of Nourishing Amy, which is where I share my favourite vegan recipes that are not only delicious, but they are vibrant, wholesome and designed to nourish you from the inside out with vegan and vegan curious followers.
My ethos around food is simple: I believe in balance every day so you'll find fresh kale salads and rich indulgent chocolate cakes. Listening to your body's wants and needs is important for me and eating as intuitively as possible means I never feel lacking and that I truly enjoy each meal time.
My recipes are for anyone looking to add a few more vegetables and plant-based goodness into their everyday or those who simply want a really delicious brunch with friends or to make a show stopper celebration cake.
I also have accessibility in mind, so you won't find too many weird and wonderful ingredients and expensive equipment; there’s something for everyone and every occasion.
While looking through the recipe index, I want to show how simple and exciting vegan food can be—and I hope you’ll all find a new favourite recipe.
You will see that all the recipes on Nourishing Amy are designed to nourish you from the inside out. I use fresh ingredients where I can with a focus on simplicity and enjoyment. The recipes are created with lots of alternatives in mind, so if you don't have all the ingredients, read the blog post for more information on ingredient swaps. Similarly, I aim to cater for allergies and dietary preferences so often there will be gluten-free and nut-free options to suit everyone.
While I thrive on a plant-based diet, I appreciate it is not the time for everyone right now. So, take what you want from these recipes, add in a vegan breakfast once a week, try out an egg-free cake next time you're baking and ultimately have fun!
