Fresh and vibrant tortilla wraps filled with crispy golden tofu, crunchy vegetables and creamy, tangy, Vegan Tartare Sauce. Make these wraps for lunchtime or picnics for a quick and easy meal.
Wraps are one of my go-to lunch options, whether I am at home or enjoying lunch al fresco (out of my Tupperware) as they are so versatile. I love filling them with all sorts of vegetables, a plant-based protein and something creamy. This time I went for the brand-new Vegan Tartare Sauce from Sacla’ and it’s a new favourite. It’s available in ASDA, from Ocado or online at sacla.co.uk.
Unlike traditional tartare sauce, this one is free from egg, dairy and gluten, meaning you can pop it on the table for everyone to enjoy. It has all the delicious flavours that we all know and love from a tartare sauce, but I have to say, this one is even better! Like all Sacla’ products this condiment it is made from the freshest and most authentic ingredients, transporting you to the seaside in every mouthful.
The ingredient list is simple; the bulk is a sunflower oil based creamy sauce that is naturally flavoured with salty and “fishy” capers, gherkins, leeks, wine vinegar and mustard. It is creamy, refreshing and silky smooth with small chunks, too. As there are so many vegan fish alternatives at the moment, this Vegan Tartare Sauce would go perfectly dolloped onto some fish-less fingers, for example, but I wanted to create something a little special! For more ideas, you can have a look at the Sacla’ recipes here.
