What ingredients do I need?
You can see the ingredients with weights in the recipe card below and see my favourite and recommended products in the “shop the recipe” section.
For the fudge:
Banana: one banana is for the slices underneath and the other is to mash into the fudge mix.
Chopped peanuts: to add some crunch.
Dark or oat milk chocolate: I use Raw Halo giant buttons as they are made with simple, healthy ingredients but you can use your favourite chocolate bar, chips or buttons.
Smooth peanut butter: make sure it’s smooth and runny and ideally 100% peanuts. I love the Manilife or Pip&Nut brands in the UK.
Chocolate protein powder: I use the Form chocolate peanut protein which tastes so good and blends so well into this fudge mix.
Salt: adding some flaky salt on top is so good.
Are these gluten-free and nut-free?
These are naturally gluten-free and to make them nut-free, swap the peanuts for seeds, the peanut butter for sunflower seed butter or tahini and check your protein.
How do I make them?
These are ready in a few steps:
Slice one banana and mash the other: place the slices into a lined dish.
Sprinkle nuts over the sliced banana: into the dish.
Melt the chocolate and peanut butter: until glossy.
Stir in the mashed banana and protein: until smooth.
Pour the fudge mix over the banana: and smooth out.
Top with more peanuts and flaky salt: and set in the fridge.
Slice into bars: and enjoy.
How long will they last?
These will keep for 5 days in a sealed container in the fridge. You can freeze them, but it’s best to eat them slightly frozen as the defrosting banana goes very soft.
